Jenny Leyland

Jenny has been involved in sport for a long time, especially football as physio, coach and general dogsbody. This year, 2008, it was brought to her attention that the “kids” in the Sutton area had not got a football club they could attend to get training within walking distance, as a lot of them could not afford to travel. So, in January she set up a new club to facilitate this need.
St Helens DSC / Helena Partnership Volunteer Of The Year
Kevin O'Neill

During 2008 Kevin has completed and passed the level one for sport and has nearly completed level two (passed in 2009). He has been with his club Garswood and Seneley Juniors FC since 2002 and now controls the entire new intake to the club each season. He attends a minimum of three matches a week and runs a goal keeping course on Saturday afternoon.
In short although a hobby it has now reached the same level as a full time job, which he still does as well.
